Cosmetic dentistry in Toronto is not just about dental cleaning. Cosmetic dentistry is concerned with improving the appearance of your mouth, teeth, and smile. There are several treatment options used in cosmetic dentistry. Some of them are simple while others require more complex treatments.

Composite Bonding

Composite bonding is used for the treatment of decayed, damaged, or discolored teeth. This treatment option is what most people think of when they have a cavity filled. This procedure is the least expensive treatment for repairing tooth decay, chipped, or cracked teeth.

Inlays and Onlays

Inlays and onlays are indirect fillings or partial crowns. They are made in a dental laboratory and are used when a decayed tooth does not have enough tooth surface to support a filling. Inlays and Onlays do not cover the entire tooth, only the portion of the tooth that is missing.

Crowns

Crowns are used as a replacement for a tooth when there is not enough tooth remaining to support composite bonding, inlays, or onlays. The crown is placed over the entire tooth after the decay is removed.

Veneers

Dental veneers are a medical-grade ceramic and applied to the front of each tooth. Veneers look realistic and can correct cosmetic issues such as damaged enamel, gaps between teeth, and crooked teeth.

Implants

Implants can be installed when a tooth is missing. A small titanium screw is inserted into the jaw, and an artificial tooth is attached to resemble a natural looking tooth.

Teeth Whitening

Teeth whitening is a procedure that whitens or bleaches the teeth. It is performed at the dentist after plaque and tarter have been removed.
