What to Consider When Choosing the Right Holiday Party Venue

by | Aug 8, 2016 | Banquet Hall

While the weather is still warm, the end of the year holidays are on the way. Now is the time to start making plans for different types of gatherings. Whether the goal is to come up with the right setting for an office holiday party or one for the family, it pays to find and reserve the best Holiday Party Venue now. Here are some points to keep in mind when checking out different venues.

The Square Footage

How much room must the Holiday Party Venue provide for everyone to be comfortable? A good place to begin is the number of attendees expected for the event. Factor in the amount of room needed to set up the buffet tables, arrange the tables and chairs and, possibly, space for a band or a deejay. Don’t forget to allow room for people to dance and move around the space as they visit with other guests. Whatever figure is identified, add another ten percent to be on the safe side.

The Outlets

Nothing is quite as frustrating as having to run multiple extension cords across a party room to handle all the electrical needs. Think about outlets that are close to the buffet and can be used to keep hot food hot and cold food cool. If there will be live or recorded music at the event, that means outlets for the equipment. Remember that there may be the need for other things like plugging in the lights on a few decorated trees.

The Parking

Not all the features have to do with what’s going on inside. It also pays to choose a venue with plenty of visitor parking. No one should have to walk several blocks to get to the event. When possible, choose a venue that is adjacent to a parking lot or at least a parking deck.

If the idea is to hold a party a few months from now, take the time to see what La Fontaine Reception Hall has to offer. There’s a good chance that, after checking some of the party rooms, there will be no need to look elsewhere.
